IGNATIUS: One of the best players in the Western Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) … named First Team All-WCAL as a senior leading St. Ignatius into the Central Coast Section (CCS) championship game … played point guard as a senior and off-guard as a sophomore and junior … three-year varsity letter-winner … named to the 2011 SanFranPreps.com All-City Team … played in the all-city game and was named MVP … played against current SCU teammates and WCAL rivals Nici Gilday (Presentation) and Vanessa Leo (Archbishop Mitty) while in high school.

PERSONAL: Last named is pronounced ‘AV-ee-LAH’ … daughter of Ofelia and Carlos Avila … has two siblings, older brother Robert, who attends Santa Clara and a younger sister, Sophia … nickname is ‘Rocky’ … excellent student, graduating with honors from St. Ignatius … majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
